Texel is a cycling island with many beautiful routes. Because honestly, a summer bike ride with a cool breeze is wonderful! Two new cycling routes have recently been opened that we definitely recommend.
A new nature reserve has been developed along the Prins Hendrikdijk (Ceres). A beautiful trail runs through the area and has recently been opened. The work is not finished yet, but it is certainly worth cycling past. There is also a beautiful route through the Waalenburg polder (between Den Burg and De Waal). Beautiful flowers grow here because of the wet grassland and there are several viewpoints where you can stop for the beautiful view.
