Our accommodations are located in and around De Koog and the forest area. We started by renting out a few cottages in De Koog, and always stayed with our roots. Why? We love this part of Texel? It is a beautiful area of extremities. De Koog is located a row of dunes away from the sea. The white beach and mighty waves remain the number one crowd puller. And we completely understand that! The Dorpsstraat has a fun holiday atmosphere. Nice clothing shops, attractive restaurants in which the chefs like to have fun with the products of the island of Texel. At the bar in the small pubs the latest island news is discussed.
Bring your bicycle, so you can ride it straight into the pine forest. The silence, also in peak season, is peaceful. On the forest paths, there is nothing to hear but the cracking of branches under your feet and the rustle of the trees. Leaving De Koog towards the North, one can explore the rich dunes. We are very lucky; Texel is our home. But as a guest, you will no doubt get the island feeling soon enough. We will do everything to make your stay on Texel a success.
